October 31, 2006 ~ Sel's latest news is ~

Sel tied for First Place in Best Artistic Web Site in the Blue Moon Best of 2006 contest. And now she's got a HUGE award in her Award section.

And Selmak also received an Honorable Mention (Meaning she came in 2nd place by one vote) in the Stargate Fan Awards for her fic in the category, Fan Fiction: SG-1 > SHIP > Best Angst Story > Other for Deconstructing the General.

Woo hoo! Selmak, who tries to look modest, but fails.

October 21, 2006 ~ Sel's latest news is ~

Carmen in Against the Wall. Sel already has a few exclusive still shots from a set photographer for Against the Wall here, but these are screen caps from the movie.

Info on Garry Chalk in BeastWars III DVD release is here. There is a link to a snippet of an interview with Gary that will be part of the features on the DVD. Sel was told by her Garry informant that "Deck the Halls" (w/ Garry in the pivotal role of the cross dressing Sheriff) should be in USA movie theatres around November 22. He's also supposed to be in the trailers for the movie, but our informant hasn't seen Garry in any of the trailers that she's seen.

October 18, 2006 ~ Sel's latest news is ~

Yes, Selmak.Org had her 50,000th visitor today. [Oh, and Delek, it's NOT Selmak 50,000 times, ok?] It was a visitor from Croatia, and well we would have a had a nifty prize to give out, but Selmak spent the prize money on a pretty green cake.

And for those of you wanting real news, Tony was recently interviewed in the New Zealand Herald. It also appears that he's doing the Armageddon Pulp Culture Expo this weekend also. Thanks to Morjana for that info!

Carmen was interviewed at Shore Leave by Mark Gross from Autograph Collectors, a magzine dedicated to... you guessed it... autograph collecting. There's a quick blurb here. Sel's trying to find out what issue Carmen's interview will be appearing in. (Update- Looks like the blurb is it - but there's a piccie of Carmen at least).

October 15, 2006 ~ Sel's back! ~

I'd like to apologize to my two favorite readers [AND ONLY TWO READERS ~ Da Boys] that I was unable to update my website for the last two weeks as Jake's a Big Meanie as he cancelled my internet access as he found Selmak.Org on a polygamy site when he googled "SELMAK.ORG". Like it's MY fault? Huh? I didn't put it there! And then he (and the rest of the boys) put their feet down, dangerously close to my sensitive little flippers I might add, and said "NO INTERNET ACCESS FOR SELMAK." Like it's MY fault? It's not. as I was having technical problems with my wireless internet connection. You'd think that Being Ascended and a Member of the Glow-Club Cost Co Club, it wouldn't take two weeks to get a new wireless router.

Anyway, Sel would like to thank marina for the latest addition to the Garry Chalk section - pictures of a theater poster from Available Targets. It's an early part of Garry's career as it was during his "GARY" state. Thank you marina!

Sel's also posted some Don Davis pictures from Gatecon 2003. Sel's embarassed to admit that they've been hanging around patiently, waiting to be posted since Selmak.Org Version 1.0 (aka the Site in Tunnel Colors with NO space).

September 27, 2006 ~ Sel's been re-reading Robert Jordan's "Wheel of Time Series" ... yup, all elevenity-seven or so books... instead of doing her Ascension Homework.

The man behind Robert Jordan, among many other pen names, James Rigney, was recently diagnosed with Amyloidosis. If you're a fan of his work, one of the WOT's paramount sites, DragonMount.com has information on how one can designate a donation to the Mayo Clinic for Amyloidosis Research in honor of James Rigney here. James aka RJ is determined to fight the good fight, and Sel has no doubt that he'll be riding that Black Harley with his wife before long.

Tony Amendola's short Film, "Read You Like a Book" will be shown at the Mill Valley Film Festival, October 13 & 15, 2006. Sel would like to thank Tony Amendola who dropped her an email regarding it. [Yup, you read that correctly.]

Per Tony, "It's an odd and very sweet labour of love that we shot in a bookstore in Berkeley last summer. If there are any Selmak-ites in the Bay Area, they may wish to check it out..."

Carmen has been screened capped in Columbo ~ Identity Crisis.

Sel, you seem to be a little fixated on Don stuff this month. Don't you have anything else on your other boys? Aren't they ~~happy~~ pouting that you're neglecting them? We want ~~embarassing dirt~~ info on them too!

Well, you're in luck. Carmen in updated Moment of Truth ~ To Walk Again screen caps and brand spanking new caps from Melrose Place ~ Psycho Therapy. And Sel promises you more screen caps featuring Carmen, Tony, Garry (And I guess Don also!) are on the way!

Thanks to Matilda & Don for permission to post a new piece of Don's artwork. Matilda is the lucky owner of the piece entitled "The Gate". No, it's NOT the Stargate!

Save our Stargate is running another survey. Their previous survey had over d 4,000 responses to the Stargate SG-1 fan demographics survey in just 72 hours. According to the Save Stargate site, during that time, they heard from several fans who were contacted by a market research company and asked to complete an online survey that delved into their opinions on television, NBC Universal and its various channels, including SCI FI. The survey then went on to ask specific questions about Stargate SG-1, asking respondents to rate various characters and aspects of the show. So they're opening up a similar survey.

On a side note, Sel knows that she's had a lot of updates on Don recently, but don't you worry, Faithful Visitors (All of Two of you), she's got a lot of stuff on her other boys to unleash on the unsuspecting public.

One of Sel's Top Secret Jaffa Sources (On the Jaffa High Council) reports that Tony is replacing Gary Jones at the Friends of Science Fiction Journey Back to Atlantis in Australia in October.

Joel Miller's The Still Life (with Don) will be the closing night feature at the Valley Film Festival this upcoming weekend in Toluca Lake, CA. Sel hopes that the film will come out on DVD soon, as Jake's getting tired of her rewinding the trailer with Don yelling, "You're attached to me forever, whether you like it or NOT!"

Have you complained to SciFi about cancelling the series yet? While a fan campaign is unlikely to bring Stargate SG1 back (Sorry ~ Sel's still a little bitter about Crusade and Farscape) ~ you can still make a difference! Let them know what you'd like a miniseries or even a movie! Note: If you're one of Sel's Non-USA Visitors, they have suggestions for what you can do to help the campaign.
