Carmen is a big time Hollywood producer, Abe Weinstein, who is moved to tears by a play. Full of insider Hollywood/Broadway movie jokes, I'm sure that the 'insiders' thought this movie was funny. Those also in the 'know' think Carmen's got a pretty good golf swing.
